WTCC: a Oschersleben la BMW favorita

Oschersleben is the home event for BMW, therefore is no surprise that the drivers of the German Manufacturer are looking forward to this Sunday''s races with great expectations.
Reigning world champion Andy Priaulx claimed four victories at Oschersleben between 2003 and 2007: ''''My personal memories are of wins, and also the emotions of 2005. That year I stood on the podium alongside Zanardi when he won his first WTCC race - there was not a dry eye at the track.''''
Local hero Jörg Müller won here twice, in 2003 and 2006: ''''I just can''t wait for my home race. The 15 points I scored at Brands Hatch came at the perfect moment. I''m far from giving up the fight for the title. Now I have to score as many points as possible in Oschersleben, though I''m aware this will be no easy task with 70 kilos of success ballast.''''
Here, in 2005, Alessandro Zanardi claimed his first victory after the crash that cost him both legs: ''''Quite obviously, my relationship with Oschersleben is a very special one. Being back on the highest step of the podium there, for the first time following my accident, will always remain unforgettable. However there''s no reason for me to only look back. Following my good recent results I now want to score again in Germany.''''
