03/09/2007 Motocross: Steve Ramon campione del mondo in MX1
LIEROP, 2 September 2007- The end of the 2007 season was marked by an incredible Grand Prix of the Netherlands on the sandy course at Lierop, the De Herselse Bossen, under cloudy weather conditions and with a crowd of 36000 spectators. Steve Ramon sealed the MX1 Title and made it to third on the podium, while team mate Kevin Strijbos won the Grand Prix, securing also the manufacturers’ Title for Suzuki. With Josh Coppins’ absence, Yamaha’s second place in the manufacturers’ standings was defended by a strong Marc De Reuver, second overall. MX2 World Champion Antonio Cairoli put together two strong moto’s to clinch the final Grand Prix’s victory. This was the Italian’s maiden success at Lierop. Katherine Prumm showed to be the fastest in the sand by winning this final round of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Cup. The Kiwi clinched also the Cup victory, moving in front of Livia Lancelot...
