08/06/2007 WTCC: dopo Pau in arrivo le gare di Brno
The 9th and 10th rounds of the FIA WTCC will take place next week in the Czech Republic, at Brno''s Masaryk Circuit.
This is a traditional meeting for the championship, as Brno hosted the European Touring Car Championship from 2002 to 2004 and then the World Touring Car Championship last year. BMW scored 5 victories out of the eight races, Alfa Romeo 2 and Chevrolet 1. The 2006 edition saw Jörg Müller (BMW) and Robert Huff (Chevrolet) sharing the laurels.
The championship arrives in Brno with Andy Priaulx in solo lead with a 2-point margin over Farfus, while Müller slipped to a further 9 points adrift. The best non-BMW driver is Yvan Muller, fourth, 14 points from the leader.
