06/04/2007 WTCC: nei test di Brno svetta la BMW di Andy Priaulx
Ten drivers took part in the official test at Brno, on Tuesday and Wednesday. With weather that changed from sunny to overcast with cold temperatures, they were all able to lap under last year’s pole position time set by Tarquini at 2:12.286. Andy Priaulx clocked the fastest lap on each of the two days: 2:11.208 on Tuesday and 2:10.028 on Wednesday. “The team has worked really well after Curitiba, and my car was very good. I’m not quite interested in being the fastest in testing, but this is promising for when we’ll be back here for the races,” the Briton commented. Jörg Müller emerged as the second fastest on both days; on Tuesday the German was only 0.002 seconds slower than Priaulx, while SEAT Sport’s Jordi Gené joined the test on the second day and clocked the third fastest time.
All drivers covered hundreds of kilometres during the test days. BMW Team
Germany’s Augusto Farfus completed 196 laps of the 5.4-km circuit for a total of
1058 km, while Müller and Priaulx completed 187 and 184 laps respectively...
